For more than one hundred years, Parramatta City Brass, has been dedicated to the provision of good music, raising standards through state and national band competitions, encouraging community involvement, nurturing talent of all ages and furthering a love of live brass music performance.

Parramatta City Brass is a community band currently graded at B level. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening from 8.00pm - 10.00pm in the band's own hall in Jubilee Lane, Parramatta.

Parramatta City Brass seeking new players (Oct/Nov 2010)
Parramatta City Brass has enjoyed some fantastic success throughout 2010. The year has seen us win 3rd place in B-Grade in the Australian National Band Championships and the Training Band win the Training section at the Penrith Eistedford. We have also had fantastic results in Solo competitions throughout the year. We are now looking for brass musicians who may be interested in joining us and enjoying our continued success in the 2011 season. We have openings in the B-Grade band on 2nd and 3rd Cornet and openings on a variety of instruments in the Training Band. Hunter Solos Competition (01 Aug 2010)
Parramatta City Brass had some great results last Sunday (1 August 2010) at the 2010 Hunter District Solo's. Our Musical Director Jonathan Gatt won the Open Tenor Horn title for the 11th year, which is not an easy achievement. Jennifer Howell came 2nd in the restricted novice section on Soprano Cornet and Michelle Alexander came 4th in open Cornet. Melissa Brady won 2 x 3rd place awards, with 3rd in the Euphonium/Baritone section and 3rd in the Slow Melody. Parramatta City Band congratulates all our soloists who respresented the band at the Hunter Solo's.
