Musical Director: Jonathan Gatt CPA (B.BUS.ACC)
Jonathan Gatt's musical career began in 1978 playing Tenor Horn with St. Mary's District Brass Band. His many achievements include: 1991 and 1993 Australian Open Tenor Horn Champion (five times runner-up); 1992, 1994, 1997 and 2004 NSW State Open Tenor Horn Champion (seven times runner up); 1996 and 1999 Australian Open Concert Band Euphonium Champion; 1996 Australian Open Concert Band Champion of Champions; 1996 Western Districts Champion Of Champions; and 1994, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008 Hunter Solo Champion of Champions, Hunter Solos Open Tenor Horn Champion 1987, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 (Runner Up 1986, 1988)
A distinguished musician, he plays many brass instruments as well as tuned/auxiliary percussion.
Jonathan was Co-Musical Director of the 1993 NSW State Youth Concert Band and six of the Band Association of NSW Workshop Bands from 1994 to 2001. He is currently Musical Director of Parramatta City Brass Band, Brisbane Water Brass Band and Assistant Musical Director of St. Mary's Band Club Brass Band. Since 1985 he has been principal Tenor Horn with St. Mary's District Brass Band and principal Euphonium with City of Sydney Concert Band since 2000.
Jonathan was a member of the Committee of the Band Association of NSW Inc. for 15 years from 1992 to 2007 holding the position of Vice President for 7.5 years and President for 2.5 years.
