For more than one hundred years, Parramatta City Brass, has been dedicated to the provision of good music, raising standards through state and national band competitions, encouraging community involvement, nurturing talent of all ages and furthering a love of live brass music performance.

Parramatta City Brass is a community band currently graded at B Level. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening from 8.00pm - 10.00pm in the band's own hall in Jubilee Lane, Parramatta.

NSW State Solos (26 June 2010)
Parramatta City Brass was well represented at the 2010 NSW State Solos, held in Woolongong on Saturday, 26th June 2010 ~ The soloists played very well and we had some fantastic achievements!! Results: Jonathan Gatt (1st Open Baritone), Kate Lord (1st Open Bass Trombone) Norm Short (1st Open Trumpet), Melissa Brady (2nd Open Baritone) Jennifer Howell (3rd Open Soprano Cornet) and Norm Short (3rd Open Flugel) Michelle Alexander played beautifully in the fiercly contested Open Bb Cornet, but missing out on a place. Well done to all soloists! 

Australian National Band Championships (2nd - 4th April 2010)
Parramatta City Brass performed at the Australian National Band Championships in Hobart over the Easter Weekend, achieving fantastic results. We placed 3rd in our grade (B-grade), which is our best result to date. This was a result of lots of hard work in preparation and many hours of rehearsals by the whole Band and our Conductor Jonathan Gatt. The Band had a wonderful time in Hobart and is so excited about the great results. We are looking forward to developing on this progress in future competitions.
